Nikki is continually drawn back to her studio to explore her love of blending colours, building layers, but mostly for the unexpected moments that appear on the canvas before her. She is often asked where her inspiration comes from, and depending on the day her answer may shift slightly. However, over the years she’s found that the start of her creative process always comes from simply showing up and being available to be inspired. Her best days are when she shows up to her studio, coffee in hand, with a great playlist and nothing but time to jump in and create. She challenges herself to push her work into new depths with meaning.
