Plein Air Painting Event
Enjoy the invigorating experience of painting outside.
Have your resulting artwork part of a special display at ArtWalk this year.
The nature inspired theme of “Life in Full Bloom” fits perfectly with a plein air painting event.
Dates and Times:
⦁ The painting session will take place on Wednesday, September 7, starting at 7:30 – 9:00 am for registration, then painting from 8:00 – 4:00 pm. Take paintings to the Art House at 4:00.
⦁ Judging will take place on September 7th, awards will be presented at 5:30 pm.
⦁ Set-up of the show will take place on Friday, September 9th.
⦁ The Plein Air Paintings Display will be a special part of ArtWalk, and will be open Saturday and Sunday, September 10 and 11th. From 10:00 am – 5:00 pm each day.
Locations:
There will be six paintings sites to choose from, two Lake Country parks, the Lake Country Community Gardens, and several home gardens. Details will be posted on the website, www.lakecountryartwalk.ca
The plein air painting show will be set up in the Art House, next to the Lake Country Art Gallery.
Prizes:
- First prize is a $500 gift card to Opus Framing and Art Supplies,
- Second prize will be a $300 gift card to Kel-Lake Nursery.
