Drosdovech, Moira

Moira Drosdovech lives and works as a small animal veterinarian of 32 years in Kelowna, BC, being the O/O of Pawsitive Veterinary Care since 2000. She first became interested in art at a young age, beginning with doodles of strange creatures she christened “Konske Kloops” and from there dabbling in some painting over the years. Imagination was and still is never lacking! She did not delve into more serious painting until the last 4-5 years. Her work with animals is her primary inspiration and, more recently, many of her pieces reflect the compassion she feels for all species, a theme she hopes rubs off on others. All animals are the same regardless of species. Primarily acrylic, the pieces have a fair amount of texture and layering built into them along with collage, most of which is hidden, but which helps to create depth to her art. She has entered Lake Country ArtWalk the last three years and, judging by the comments and expressions, her work is a joy to all.
