Meet the Okanagan Urban Sketchers!

This is an introduction to a new, local group that might be of interest to you as a unique opportunity to sketch with others who want a relaxed, non-competitive way while checking out various locations around the Valley. New members are welcome.

The Okanagan Urban Sketchers is free to adults who are interested in plein-air urban sketching, based on the popular global phenomenon.

In the warmer months, we host Sketching Meetups four to five times a month in a wide variety of outdoor settings. Our members join in whenever the meetups fit their schedules.

There are no membership fees, and no limitations or restrictions based on skill or

attendance. We offer a positive, supportive, and inclusive environment for like-minded folks to get together and draw, or paint, on-site, in any medium or style that they choose.

With a strong focus on Plein-air, and artistically capturing the world around us in the “reportage” manner, we are seeing and sharing the world using our Art to tell a story!”

Come check them out all day, both days, outside the entrance to George Elliot School. Bring your sketch pad and sit for awhile!
