ART FUSION: An Artist Collaboration
Art Fusion is a union of two creative minds that brings to light new realities and worlds that would not exist without collaboration. International Master Landscape Photographer, Jim Brompton, and Internationally Recognized Oil Painter Jolene Mackie combine photography with painterly interjections.
This work begins behind the photographer’s lens, capturing a moment in time. Jim then edits his photos by omitting a portion. The printed canvas is then passed on to Jolene who adds paint to create the final image.
The viewer may find that there are moments when the painting and the photography blend together, and then may have a “something not quite right” moment, of discordant texture. The beauty of collaborating in this way is the extension of the story-telling behind each work of art. Art Fusion is in the School Gym in GESS.
