I paint with a sense of humility and awe standing before the scene. A position of reverence of the story that unfolds before me. Taking in deeply and respectfully into my being the mystery and subtleties of the shadow and light in conversation with each other holding closely the majesty of creation. Knowing fair well the stories told and yet unpainted, will take us on a personal journey as the pages unfold and embrace our entry into life’s best kept secrets. I have been painting from this perspective for more than thirty-five years. Usually I paint in the medium of oil on canvas but sometimes on board with unusual materials especially for my instrument pieces.
